PAWVÉ has partnered with Greyhounds As Pets (GAP), a New Zealand charity dedicated to helping retired racing greyhounds find life beyond the track.

The partnership comes at an important moment for greyhounds across Aotearoa. Following the nationwide ban on commercial greyhound racing, which came into effect on 1 August 2026, more than 1,500 retired racing greyhounds now need homes.

Beyond the track

For a greyhound leaving the racing industry, retirement means discovering an entirely different rhythm – a home, a family, new surroundings and the everyday rituals that come with being someone's pet.

This is where Greyhounds As Pets comes in.

GAP works to transition retired racing greyhounds into life as pets, helping connect them with suitable families and homes where they can settle into a life shaped by trust and belonging.

Why PAWVÉ × GAP

At its core, PAWVÉ is about connection.
