PAWVÉ JEWELLERY CARE & ATTACHMENT GUIDE

PAWVÉ is crafted using fine jewellery materials, including sterling silver, solid gold, diamonds, and precious stones. Each piece is meticulously made to embody luxury, craftsmanship, and refined detail. However, as with all fine jewellery, these materials require thoughtful handling and responsible care.

MATERIAL REALITY & WEAR EXPECTATIONS

PAWVÉ fine jewellery is made from precious metals that are inherently susceptible to surface scratching, micro-abrasions, and natural wear over time. This is not a defect, it is a fundamental property of fine jewellery materials. Minor scratches and marks are expected through everyday use and can generally be polished out by a professional jeweller. Deeper scratches, dents, or structural deformation may not always be fully reversible.

Like all fine jewellery, PAWVÉ pieces are not indestructible. While crafted for durability, they are not designed to withstand excessive force, heavy impact, aggressive pulling, chewing, or rough physical activity.

SMALL COMPONENTS & STRUCTURAL CARE

Each PAWVÉ pendant contains small components, fine settings, and delicate structural elements. These are crafted using traditional fine jewellery techniques and materials, meaning they require careful handling.

Clasps, jump rings, key rings, settings, and attachment points are all vulnerable to stress, tension, torsion, and sudden force. If excessive pressure is applied, these components may bend, weaken, or snap. As with human fine jewellery, breakage can occur if the piece is subjected to improper handling, forceful pulling, or uncontrolled movement.

ACTIVITY & LIFESTYLE GUIDELINES

We strongly recommend removing PAWVÉ jewellery during:

  • Vigorous play
  • Any high-impact or high-movement activity
  • Training
  • Swimming or bathing

Avoid prolonged exposure to:

  • Harsh chemicals and cleaning products
  • Saltwater

ATTACHMENT GUIDANCE

PAWVÉ pendants may be attached at the owner’s discretion, provided attachment is done carefully and without excessive force.

Recommended attachment points include:

  • Collar D-rings
  • Key rings (attached to collar D-ring)
  • Leashes
  • Harnesses
  • Alternative attachment points chosen by the owner

It is essential that the clasp fits naturally and is never forced onto any ring or loop, as excessive pressure may weaken or damage the clasp mechanism or pendant structure.

If the collar D-ring is too large for the clasp, we recommend using a small, durable key ring as an intermediary attachment point.

Owners are solely responsible for ensuring that attachment methods are appropriate, secure, and safe for their pet’s lifestyle and activity level.

CLEANING & STORAGE

To maintain brilliance:

  • Gently wipe with a soft, dry polishing cloth
  • Store in the PAWVÉ fine jewellery box (or a jewellery pouch) when not in use
  • Keep separate from other jewellery to prevent scratching

INSPECTIONS & MAINTENANCE

We recommend regularly inspecting your PAWVÉ piece for:

  • Loose stones
  • Worn clasps
  • Bent components
  • Signs of metal fatigue or stress

If any issues are detected, discontinue use immediately to prevent loss or further damage. For repair enquiries, our team is available at hello@pawve.co.nz.

RESPONSIBILITY DISCLAIMER

PAWVÉ cannot accept responsibility for damage, breakage, loss, deformation, or wear that occurs once a piece has left our possession. This includes, but is not limited to, damage caused by natural wear, improper use, improper attachment, excessive force, impact, pulling, chewing, environmental exposure, or high-activity movement.

Fine jewellery materials are inherently delicate and require careful handling. By purchasing and using PAWVÉ jewellery, the owner accepts full responsibility for the care, use, attachment method, and ongoing condition of the piece.

Fine jewellery demands fine care.

Thoughtful handling ensures longevity, beauty, and lasting enjoyment.
